College Activities

Oratory Training Programme

Oratory Training programme is intended to develop the students’ ability for public speech. Every afternoon at 1.30 p.m. students of the college will speak on various topics of educational and current issues. All the student teachers will get opportunity to present a topic of their own.

College Union

Every year the students of the college elect the college union executive, viz. Chairman, Vice-chairman, General secretary, University Union counselor, Arts club secretary, Sports Secretary, Magazine Editor and class representatives. One of the salient features of the college union is that elections are not held on the political basis. The union provides opportunity to the students to excel in their various abilities. All the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the college are organized and conducted by the college union under the guidance of teachers. The election to the college union is governed by the rules and regulations of the University of Kerala.

Celebrations

Onam, Christmas, Independence day, Republic day, Teachers’ day, New Year and other days of regional, national and international importance is celebrated every year.

Talks by experts

Experts from various fields of education and culture are invited to deliver lectures on topics of educational and cultural importance.

Inter Training College Sports Quiz Competition

An Inter Training College Sports Quiz competition is held every year in the college. Teams from different colleges under the various universities of Kerala participate in the competition. Sri. M.A. Cherian, Manalil Memorial Trophy is awarded to the winners.

Sports Day

Sports competitions are held during the First Semester. Almost all students participate in various athletic events and games. Individual championship is awarded to both men and women.

Interschool Quiz competition

Interschool Quiz Competition for the Principal’s Trophy(constituted in honour of our former Principal Prof. N.K.Venugopal) is held every year. Teams are participating from various schools in Pathanamthitta, Alapuzha and Kollam Districts.
