His Grace Mar Thoma Dionysius who was a pioneer in the educational field in Kerala is a divine source of inspiration for all of us in the Mount Tabor family. More than five decades back, His Grace laid the foundation for a Religio-Educational Centre at Pathanapuram on a beautiful hillock that he named Mount Tabor,which actually transformed "Kattu Pathanapuram to Nattu Pathanapuram."
The Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram founded in 1960 is a unit of an Educational Complex at Pathanapuram which is the happy fruition of the vision and tremendous industry of a towering personality of our immediately previous generation in Kerala, His Grace Mar Thoma Dionysius Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church. His grace initiated his religious and educational endeavours from a beautiful hillock called MOUNT TABOR in the heart of Pathanapuam town. Ever since the inception of the college in 1960, we have earned the inevitable reputation of being one of the finest seats of teacher education in the state.
The Patriotic song competition and other competitions in connection with the Independence Day Celebrations is scheduled on 14th August 2017 at 2.00 P.M. The competitions will be optional wise and is organised by the Social Science Department.
The Orientation Programme for the freshers is scheduled from 31st July to 4th August 2017.
The Inauguration of the B.Ed. Course 2017-19 is scheduled on the 27th July 2017 at 10.00 A.M. The manager Very. Rev. C.O. Joseph Remban will inaugurate this year's programme.

The last date for submission of Application for B.Ed. Admission is extended up to 17th July 2017. Applications are available in the college office. Rank list will be published on the 19th July 2017
The admission to the B.Ed course 2017-19 (Two Year Programme) of this college (Aided) commences on 20.05.2017. The application form and prospectus can be obtained from the college office (between 10.00 A.M. and 5.00 P.M. on all working days) or downloaded from the admission page link given at the bottom of the Home Page. The last date for submission of the filled up application along with all the relevant documents in the college office is extended to 03.07.2017.
The Community Living Camp 'ORUMA-2017' will be inaugurated on the 7th June 2017 by Dr. B. Ashok IAS, Government Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs & Ayush at 2.00 P.M. The theme of the camp is 'Learning to Peacefully Strive Together'.
Environmental Day celebrations will be held on the 5th June 2017. Rev. Dr. Roy John, General Secretary, Environment Commission of the Orthodox Church will inaugurate the celebrations, quiz competition and poster competition will be held in connection with the celebration.
The College Day Samskriti 2017 and Farewell Programme is scheduled on the 30th March 2017 at 10.00 A.M. Smt. Veena George, MLA, will inaugurate the function and Smt. Anjali George, Cine Artist, will deliver the Keynote Address.
Seminar on Life Style Diseases is organised on 29th March 2017 in collaboration with Josco College of Nursing, Pandalam.
The College Union & Arts Club inauguration is scheduled on the 23rd January 2017 at 10.00 A.M. Dr. Mridula Nair B. leading Psychologist and Motivational Trainer will inaugurate the College Union and Mr. T.P. Madhavan, Cine & serial Artist will inaugurate the Arts Club.
